Put simply, the Crocodile Prize would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors and donors, who come from the private and public sectors and philanthropic organisations and individuals.
Sponsorship revenues go towards prize money, the annual awards ceremony, travel and accommodation to enable winners to attend the awards, marketing and advertising, and the publication of the annual anthology.
In 2019, the Crocodile Prize is seeking a FULL NAMING RIGHTS SPONSOR for the entire Crocodile Prize and AWARDS CATEGORY SPONSORS for individual award categories and PARTNERS. Prize categories may include:
- Short Stories
- Essays and Journalism
Women’s Literature– Sponsored by Abt Associates
- Heritage and Culture
- Student Writing
- Tok Pisin Writing
- Writing for Children
The Crocodile Prize is committed to working with our sponsors’ communications and marketing teams to ensure materials are appropriately branded and that sponsors benefit from their association with the awards.
This includes the working together to create original social media content, media releases and feature articles for press publication, and organise interviews with TV and radio stations in Papua New Guinea. We also offer sponsors the opportunity to publish advertorial content on the Crocodile Prize website and the associated PNG Attitude blog. PNG Attitude receives 2,500-5000 unique visitors per day and as many as 15,000 unique visitors each month and has more than 5,500 Twitter followers.
