My pride

By Marie-Rose Sau

You are not going to pull me down
Or take from my head this crown
I have worn it all my life
Show me what you want to do even if it’s with a knife
You think I will back down now
That I will give up to you somehow
Well you can think again
I won’t give in to the bargain

This is all I have left
I will not let you take it away…

So come on
Bring it on
I got luck on my side
And I got the gold inside
I will put a fight
Until my knuckles turn white
Even if I am bleeding

I will not stop singing
Give me your best shot
And I will hit you flat on the spot

This is all I have left
I will not let you take it away

I have come this far
Your words will not erase that scar
You gave it to me
So let me be
I will make it so hard for you
Until you have no clue
I will be strong
Without you to tell I am wrong

This is all I have left
I will not let you take it away…
